Volunteer With Us

IMG_5083 (1).jpg

Everyone has their own reason for volunteering.  Often individuals come to Hospice Muskoka because of their interest in hospice and palliative care, personal experience following the death of a loved one, awareness of the benefits of Advanced Care Planning or simply a desire to help others.  Whatever your reason, we are honoured to have you. Volunteers in the hospice field are sensitive to the special needs of dying clients and their families and choose to support them through understanding the unique path each person takes to deal with their own grief.

Volunteers are an integral part of our interdisciplinary team that serves our clients and families.  Currently over 65 volunteers provide 4000-5000 hours per year of direct service and over 25 provide 1000+ hours per year in administrative and fundraising support.  Our goal is to build a team of 150 volunteers working out of 3 locations; Port Carling, Bracebridge and Gravenhurst to serve the needs of our vast geography.

Whether you choose direct service, provide administrative or fundraising support, tend to our building maintenance or gardens; your time is greatly appreciated and recognized.
